Coordinate and provide leadership for local (Plant) improvement projects and EOS (EnerSys Operation System) implementation. These projects should be integrated with the region / plants lean deployment efforts and meet the guidelines, criteria and metrics established by the business.


  • Lead local improvement projects and effectively coordinate these projects with the EOS Manager. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to perform team activities, leading teams to execute projects with the problem-solving methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members.
  • Identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals.
  • Lead and coordinate 5S projects and activities.
  • Train and coach employees to the system.
  • Lead kaizen events to deliver target improvement.
  • Provide local EOS Manager and plant managers with the results and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or Engineering or comparable.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations and process improvement roles in industrial companies.
  • 1 plus years of solid experience with Lean principles and tools (5S and MDI, SMED, PDCA, etc.).
  • Leadership experience in industrial manufacturing environment with engineering background
  • Ideally Green Belt Lean / Six Sigma certified. Strong analytical skills, well able to understand company processes.
  • Experience with leading improvement projects.
  • Pro-active, able to prioritize, find root causes and implement improvements.

  • Ability to lead and direct an improvement team. Must be a results-oriented “change agent" (m/f/d) who is an effective business systems thinker.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing the business goals. Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.
  • Understand statistical analysis tools/methodology, project management, SAP, quality and basic financial principles and apply them to analyze the planned activities.
